The course times and descriptions on this site feed directly from the Class Roster (Fall and Spring) and the Courses of Study on a daily basis.  However, changes to courses times and fees listed on this site at the top of the various class pages take precedence over those listed in the Course and Time Roster.

Cornell Outdoor Education

Cornell Outdoor Education (COE) is part of the Physical Education Department and offers both credit and non-credit courses in a variety of outdoor related activities.  Courses may be added any time before the class starts, with no late enrollment fee. COE maintains its own drop deadlines (listed in the class pages on this site), enrollment and other policies. Questions about COE classes should be referred to Danielle Ford at or (607) 255-6183.

IMPORTANT: pre-enroll for SP 23 will be limited to undergraduates only. Graduate students may enroll starting January 24, 2023.

SWIM REQUIREMENT UPDATES: As a result of COVID-19, Cornell’s swim requirement was waived as a graduation milestone for seniors who graduated Spring 2020 - Summer 2022.  Students graduating in Fall 2022 and forward will need to fulfill the swim requirement prior to graduation. The swim requirement can be completed at scheduled times throughout the semester for free: Click this link for upcoming dates and times.

All PE courses are now on Canvas. The PE course you are enrolled in will appear on your Canvas Dashboard. Please read all the information on your PE Canvas course to stay up to date with PE policies, requirements, and other class information. Questions about Canvas should be referred to Todd Webster at or (607) 255-4261.

DEADLINES for Physical Education and Outdoor Education are listed here:  Physical Education Course Deadlines supersede the University course drop deadline. Know your PE course drop deadline to avoid late fees.
