Lessons

Lessons are not included in the courses this year but may be added for an additional fee.  You may add any number of lessons that you would like to your program.

All Lessons meet at the Lesson Meeting Spot located next to the Alpha Slope (Beginner’s Chair Lift). If exiting the rental building, proceed directly across metal bridge. Please be there ten (10) minutes before lesson time.

Student Responsibilities

To finalize registration for Greek Peak Skiing or Snowboarding, you must log onto the Greek Peak site and complete the College PE > Cornell Registration at https://sales.greekpeak.net .

Students will be issued a Photo Ski Pass that they are responsible to present and have on them while skiing. Students are also responsible for checking in and out at the Ticket Booth Windows.  If a student checks in and does not check out they will not receive credit for being there that day.

All students who sign up for this course are responsible for checking their university e-mail for messages. Communications like class cancellations will be posted here. Please check for your messages the day before and the day of your class.

Students must also comply with all safety and COVID related policies and procedures.

Fees

Students pay all course fees directly to Greek Peak. Greek Peak processes all refunds.   Students seeking any refunds must contact the College Ski Program Coordinator, Molli Rainbow (mrainbow@greekpeakmtnresort.com).

The course fee is based on students attending a minimum of 5 out of 7 classes.

Refund Policies

To receive a pro-rated refund, students must drop the course on their Cornell Student Center account by the posted deadline of February 3, 2022.

Students who drop the course and seek a refund must contact Molli Rainbow, (mrainbow@greekpeakmtnresort.com), the College Ski Program Coordinator immediately regarding the refund.

Any student that drops the course prior to the College's drop date will be entitled to a refund of the remaining classes (lessons & rental fees) needed to complete the 5 class requirement for a passing grade.

You must contact the college Program Director at Greek Peak and turn in your photo ID pass to the Cornell Physical Education Dept along with your credit card information prior to the next scheduled class.

Your refund will be based on the number of remaining classes not taken that would be required to receive a passing grade, minus a $10 processing fee.

All refunds will be issued in the form a credit card “credit” for the equivalent of the unused services of Greek Peak, less Greek Peak’s $10 processing fee and Cornell P.E.’s $20 service fee.

Medical Refunds

A consideration will be given for medical conditions (occurrences) that prevent an enrollee from participating in or completing their ski/snowboard program. The consideration is as follows:

If a student is injured and not able to continue in the course, they must send a request, including medical documentation of illness/injury (physician’s statement or hospital report, containing diagnosis and treatment), to the College Program Director, Molli Rainbow,(mrainbow@greekpeakmtnresort.com), immediately following the incident and prior to the next scheduled class.

The amount refunded will be a prorated portion of course fees (lesson and rental fees) based on the number of required sessions remaining after the occurrence date of the medical condition preventing participation.

All refunds will be issued in the form a credit card “credit” for the equivalent of the unused services of Greek Peak, less Greek Peak’s $10 processing fee and Cornell P.E.’s $20 service fee. There will be no refund of course fees if withdrawal occurs after the completion of the 5th lesson.

Grading

To receive college credit and a passing grade, you must complete 5 of 7 classes.
