Registration Dates for Summer 2022 Physical Education Classes:

PE 1420 Meditation
Non-Credit Fee: $150 (N. Boyar, nbb34)                                                                  
This course provides the opportunity to explore a variety of ancient and modern methods designed to bring one to the state of meditation. The methods serve to evoke the deep relaxation from which heightened awareness and creativity arise. If these classes do not fit your schedule, try Body-Mind, Living Routines or Moving into the Moment which have meditation in them. MAX 16

PE 1100 Beginning Swimming
Non-Credit Fee: $150 (S. Ball, seb27)                                    
Introduction and practice in the basic skills necessary to pass the Cornell swimming proficiency test. This course is designed for the non-swimmer. Students will be instructed in proper technique of front and back floats, front crawl and elementary back stroke. Students will receive both shallow and deep water instruction. MAX 16
Teagle Hall Small Pool (Room 151B) T/W/R 3:30-4:30 PM (Start 6/21)

PE 1445 Outdoor Beginning Tennis
Non-Credit Fee: $150 (A. Falkson, abf11)                             
Instruction and practice in the basic skills of the game, including grip, serve, forehand, backhand, and volley. Scoring methods are taught. All equipment is furnished. MAX 16
Appel Commons Tennis Courts T/R 4:30-6:00 PM (Start 6/21)

PE 1480 Small-Boat Sailing, Introduction
Non-Credit Fee: $400 (B. Clancy, bcc66)                            
Prerequisite: must have passed the Cornell swimming test requirement for undergrads or equivalent (75yds. unassisted). This course teaches the basic skills necessary to sail small boats safely and competitively. The Vanguard 420 sailboat is used. Transportation is NOT provided to Merrill Family Sailing Center, 1000 E. Shore Drive. MAX 16
